About Head Lion
Head Lion Group is a Virginia-based creative communications agency and Virginia SWaM Certified small, women-owned, and minority-owned business specializing in strategic marketing, public engagement, and digital storytelling for government and mission-driven organizations.
The agency is owned and led by Chanel Christy, a GMU School of Art graduate recognized by Graphic Design USA as one of the “Top 100 Design Students to Watch – 2025.” Chanel oversees delivery, quality, and 508-aware design systems across all work.
Creative direction is led by Neil Peter Christy, an award-winning creative director with 20+ years of global experience at Ogilvy and DDB, working with brands like Citibank, Unilever, DHL, Nokia, and institutions including The World Bank Group, Freddie Mac, and the U.S. Department of Justice. Neil also teaches communication at NOVA Community College, grounding all work in clarity and evidence-based messaging.
